We took our first family Disney trip in 2020 and while the COVID precautions were expected and warranted, it left us feeling like we were missing the magic. We travelled home thinking we might go back some day, but that, maybe, we just weren’t Disney people. Then, in 2022 our son got sick and was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis (please dont worry, he’s completely fine now!). While he was in the hospital, a commercial came on for Disney World, and he asked if we could go back.

That was all it took; at that moment, we would have agreed to buy him a pony. We set out to make it a once in a lifetime Disney World trip. We started planning, found out about DVC rental points, and booked the perfect vacation. We splurged on a stay in the bungalows at the Polynesian (that part really was once in a lifetime!) and booked all the dream dining! Our party of ten (the grandparents, Aunt LaLa and fam came with us) conquered the parks; we nailed all the lightning lanes, hit everyones must do's, and walked more miles than ever before.

This time the conversation on the way home sounded a bit different; the magic, the bubble, we had to do it again! We were completely hooked and sold on this being our family's vacation destination. Annual passes were bought, and we’re rarely not planning our next trip. Since then we have passed under that sign (IYKYK) more times than we want to admit, but the magic has never faded!
